Why you should turn to me, you’re asking yourself? I acquired my bachelor degree in Translation-Interpretation at KHBO Bruges, Belgium in 2006. During the last months of my education, I agreed to a foreign traineeship in London. Working and living in a foreign country contributed a lot to my personal development and helped develop key qualities, such as open-mindedness, dynamism, mobility and flexibility. I gained insight into the professional requirements of certain tasks and positions. While being in London, I took the academic linguist test at Westminster University, which I passed with distinction.

After graduating magna cum laude, I started working as management assistant with a chemical company. My job there consisted of translations in Dutch, French, English and Spanish, correspondence, meetings with foreign clients, agenda management, etc. Moreover, I was responsible for the incoming and the outgoing orders and the administrative tasks for the Managing Director.

In August 2007, I started as a full-time freelance translator. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience since then and I particularly specialize in technical translations.

Technical texts are often characterized by a high content of jargon and industry-specific terminology. Moreover, these texts are difficult to understand for an outsider. That’s why it is important that the correct terms are used and that the text is translated clearly and comprehensibly.
